24 Hour Alarm Monitoring
All BS1 systems have the option to be connected to our 24 Hour Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). Once connected, your system can either have a keyholder only response or full police response (police response subject to restriction and URN application). There are many ways a system can connect and transmit to the Alarm Receiving Centre, and we provide the following options.
DIGITAL COMMUNICATOR (DIGICOM) - GRADE 2
Single path monitoring achieved using the existing standard telephone line, this is usually the cheapest option and is very common in domestic installations, the path is checked at least every 25 hours and a report sent to the maintenance company.
CSL DUALCOM - DIGIAIR - GRADE 2
Single path monitoring achieved using a dedicated GSM/GPRS modem supplied as part of the alarm installation, this option utilises all mobile networks via the WorldSIM instead of a telephone line to signal an alarm from the protected premises to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). It is designed for low to medium risk premises and is an ideal upgrade for wired digital communicators as it eliminates call costs and phone charges.
CSL DUALCOM - GRADE 2/3/4
Dual path signalling option utilising multiple signalling paths via the WorldSIM to signal an alarm, this option has been designed with the lowest to highest risk premises in mind. You simply pick the grade required. DualCom is trusted to protect hundreds of thousands of premises throughout Europe including many major retail brands.
REDCARE CLASSIC - GRADE 4
Redcare Classic is a grade 4 system that offers one of the most secure forms of alarm signalling available. The service provides continuous monitoring of the BT telephone line that links a professionally installed alarm system on a customer’s premises to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). The result is continuous protection, every second of the day, every day of the year.
Unlike other alarm signalling services, Redcare both alerts the ARC when it detects a line cut AND provides encryption to prevent the substitution of equipment or "spoofing" (emulation) of line conditions.REDCARE GSM - GRADE 4
Redcare GSM Roaming is a Grade 4 dual path signalling system and offers the highest level of protection you can buy. The BT phone line on which your Redcare GSM Roaming operates is monitored constantly and if the line is cut or there is a fault on the line this is signalled to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) within just 40 seconds.
Every two minutes Redcare GSM Roaming also checks that the alarm on your property is working, adding another level of security to your alarm system. In the event of an alarm sensor being triggered in your property, it takes just a few seconds for the ARC to be alerted.
Redcare GSM Roaming also benefits from being a 'roaming dual path' system. The main BT telephone line on which Redcare GSM Roaming operates is the 'primary path'. Redcare GSM Roaming also provides the reassurance of a back up link, a 'secondary path', that uses any of the UK mobile phone networks to communicate with the ARC if, for whatever reason, the primary path fails.
