Smart Home Access Control Systems
Door or gate entry systems come in a number of different forms. However, the first objective of each is to identify who is at the entry point, enabling you to decide whether access should be granted. This can be done in a number of ways:
Intercom Systems - Audio or audio and video, allowing you to speak to the caller and see the caller
Code Locks - where authorised persons punch in a given code to gain access
Proximity/Swipe Cards - electrically recognised tags or cards give access
Video Entry Phones - enhanced intercom systems with colour picture display
Once the caller has been verified, the door or gate can then be allowed to open by various means:
Electrical latch release
Magnetic lock release
Auto opening equipment
These all offer a means of controlling a door or gate when a visitor or arrives at the door. This is useful where you live in a block of flats, as the systems saves you from running up and down the stairs; or in a house where you can see who is at your door or gate without actually going to the door.
